History

Early beginning

In the late 1940s, the world suffered from a smallpox epidemic, and young Abdulrahman, who was only four years old, was deeply affected by the suffering the disease caused in his community. After losing a family member, Abdulrahman decided to become a doctor to help people overcome illnesses. He graduated in 1972, becoming the first qualified doctor from the Eastern Province and the first Saudi to join the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in London.

Entering the Field of Medicine and Excelling

The Saudi government honored Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mishari for his achievements. He was appointed as the supervisor for the construction of the College of Medicine and later became the Deputy Director and Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at King Khalid University Hospital. He contributed to the hospital’s expansion program and the College of Medicine and participated in designing new buildings and managing construction.

Establishing the hospital and achieving the dream

Dr. Abdulrahman invested his savings to build the first private hospital in the Kingdom. Using a plot of land in Riyadh as collateral for a loan, the hospital was opened in 1987 by the Prince of Riyadh, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. This hospital became one of the leading healthcare institutions in the Kingdom.

Good legacy

Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mishari passed away on March 3, 2016, at the age of 76. He left behind a remarkable legacy of healthcare that he established through his hard work and dedication. His impact will remain alive in the hearts of his patients and employees, and he will always be missed.
